Velotel assists rider safety with Flare partnership

Velotel has partnered with Flare safety app to assist in keeping their customers safer whilst out on rides. The Flare premium membership is bundled FREE with all Velotel mobile plans.

The multi-award-winning safety app will provide premium subscription benefits for all Velotel customers, including: 

· Adding up to five emergency contacts

· Access to Flare SOS – live tracking system

· Earning twice the amount of Sweatcoins per activity 

· Report and notification of hazards while on the road

Flare’s powerful incident detection algorithm is the most accurate in the world and informs users emergency contacts of their live location, using What3Words, if they have experienced an incident or fall. 

Having saved four lives since launching in November 2019, Flare will protect and enhance the safety of all Velotel customers, providing peace of mind and assurance that help is always available. 

With users in over 130 countries, Flare is popular among cyclists as there is no added hardware required and, because of automatic protection, users don’t necessarily have to open the app each time. Providing the reassurance cyclists need whilst out on the road.
